It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the peak baggers, are all that remain for a side that has won it all.

That it took up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batsmen to hold a record if not provided the possibility.

Many contend the reasoning behind the pressure of a final. Some might respond with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was far harder to see coming.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings came after six matches in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"For those following me in practice sessions, it was a frustrating experience because I feel like I lacked timing whatsoever," stated Healy.

"Yet the moment you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts take over and you simply focus on the competition."

Healy's competitive nature has consistently been her key asset - and an invaluable trait in replacing legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in each encounter, but here that only provided Healy's inspiration.

"A chance to go out there and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself that way, kind of motivated me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 balls - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

Once she was removed Australia needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to do that now," added Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, should it happen, we believe we can achieve it."

Those words will be the last Australia's opponents at this World Cup need to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this victory coming after win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they left last year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to damaged tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing despite the injury.

Yet even as she later admitted those physical issues have delayed thoughts of retirement, this tournament is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as skipper.

Victory in India would bring her to the top of her last major obstacle.
